I’ve been jamming a lot recently with Richard G Chamberlain and Sam Alexander Mcloughlin. We played our first gig (supporting TRUMAN’S WATER no less) recently in the GOLDEN LION, Todmorden. Here’s a shot of the performance from Andrew wild (CROW VERSUS CROW) plus the poster. Looking forward to continuing the experiments.
Delighted to have a spot on this Folklore Tapes compilation as part of a collaborative duo with Sam Mcloughlin.
Features many great artists including Dean Mcphee, Magpahi and Embla Quickbeam:
Very happy to be featured on this – the very last release from the much loved label “Blackest Ever Black”
“If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”
Happy to share this film I made recently for a track called “Ephemeral and the Material” from Zaïmph’s album “Rhizomatic Gaze” out now on Drawing Room Records. The footage was shot on the yorkshire moors last Autumn:
Some nice footage has just been released by Lawrence Campbell from last years “Art of Magic” show in Barrow. I was playing the slide at this point while Mary was reading a spell.
Performers: Mark Stark, David Chatton Barker, Sam Mcloughlin, Bridget Hayden
So I compiled some recordings I’ve been sitting on for years – mostly cover songs and sketches – all recorded on the same mashed up acoustic guitar (£10 from a washing machine shop in Frizinghall, Bradford) The action is about 1/2 an inch high and I think that’s what gives it that big bass sound.
The tape itself (ltd to 60 copies) is released alongside a fanzine paying homage to Karen Dalton (who’s album “Green Rocky Road” I adore) and can be bought direct from Synchronize Witches’ Website.
But if you just want to stream or buy the download, you can listen via my bandcamp:
