more from shady – release from the prison of words
In constantly trying (and failing) to pin down words to songs, the inadequacy of language for the expression of grief, loss and loneliness makes itself forever known to me. Through performance and video installation at this leeds event, coloured by the passing of activist callum millard, I tried to articulate the impossibility with visuals and wailing mantra. Other contributors included lauren de sa naylor and eric prenowitz.
See below for more pictures of the performance and installation, and here for more information about the “Shady Dealings with Language” series of events.
Shady was conceived by writer and artist claire louise potter.
